Description

Granite V-block pair for supporting round workpieces during inspection or layout — shafts, pin bolts, ring gauges, and drilled holes. Granite is the right material here for two reasons: dimensional stability during temperature fluctuations (approximately 1/3 of steel’s coefficient of expansion), and the fact that the surface is polished yet soft enough that a precision detail will not stamp a witness mark, as a hardened steel V-block might.

Each block in the pair is 100×160×160 mm and accepts round workpieces from ø25-125 mm. Class 1 — workshop quality, suitable for fixture support, assembly bench layout, and inspection setups on the shop floor.

Use them in matched pairs to support a long workpiece between two reference V’s, or individually under a height gauge to set up a runout test on a finished shaft. The two blocks are matched at the factory, so they share the same height within class tolerance — important when both blocks are to define a common horizontal axis.
